Photos & Stories from the Strut the Streets event will be available shortly.
More than 200 Australians came together on 12 November 2009 for the inaugural Strut the Streets event in Sydney.
Strut the Streets will become an annual fundraiser for the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME), a Program that is giving Indigenous kids the chance to have a fair go at university.
AIME will continue its partnership with the infamous swimwear company budgy smuggler as we go for another attempt in 2010!
THE CAUSE: It costs AIME $2000 a year to support one Indigenous student through school. Today, 1 in every 5 Indigenous students who start Year 7 finish Year 12. This is an opportunity for you to support a great young organisation that is really making a difference!
NEXT YEAR: Each person will be required to purchase a $50 ticket to join the parade with budgy smugglers or smugglettes being the only swimwear that can be worn (swimwear is included in the ticket price). The time and venue will be determined next year.
SIGN UP NOW FOR 2010: If you would like to participate in the event next year, please register your interest by sending us an email. If everyone who participated this year brings along a friend next year, we will do it - easy. Are you up for it?
